Valentines Day Blues...

Got the Valentines Day Blues?

Now don't get me wrong, I find Valentines day as cringe-worthy as the next person, but I still get a little upset every February 14th to be reminded that I'm ALWAYS alone for Valentines, and pretty much every other day of the year.

If like me, you're not sharing Valentines Day with a special someone, I have a few things you could do to make yourself feel some what better about this day, and where you, and your other single friends can still enjoy yourselves.

> Gather all your friends round your place- guys/girls, order a take away (this is making me hungry- you know how much I adore take aways) stick a film on, and just have a nice, chilled night in.

> Give yourself a pamper treat! Go and find any bath products you may have lying around the house such as bubble bath, bath bombs, face masks (you should find some left over from Xmas), or you can even look online at how to make your own using natural remedies! However if you cant be bothered to do all the research, I like using honey, green tea mixed w/ sugar, or natural live yogurt for quick home-made face masks.

> Watch your favourite comedy movie/TV show! Its guaranteed to make you feel 10 times better!

> SHOP 'TIL YOU DROP! Nothing makes me feel good like knowing I've just bought a whole load of goodies! Even if you don't buy anything, its just nice to get out of the house and browse for a little.

> Spend time with your family, showing how much you love and care for them. Maybe even buy them a little gift for Valentines instead?..

> Whenever I'm feeling a bit down or bored, I find that going on YouTube and watching either funny or beauty videos fixes it. You could even watch some makeup tutorials and try to recreate the looks?

> Studies say that listening to music at a high volume can stop people feeling depressed and is proven to instantly lift peoples moods. I 100% agree with this! So go ahead and BLAST DAT MUSIC!

> Ready, Steady, Cook- Look up some yummy recipes, perhaps something you've never tried making before: its always good to challenge yourself! Plus it'll take more of your time up. And you and your friends/family can enjoy some delicious food!

As always, thank you for reading! Hope you have a lovely day where ever you are this Valentines.
Mwah!

JUSTIN BIEBER DRAMA

I'm sure all of you have heard about this Justin Bieber drama over the past few days, (and if you havent- uh where exactly have you been?). Basically Justin got arrested a couple of days ago in Miami, which was reported to be from drag racing, and driving under the influence. HOWEVER, this may not be entirely true as reports have gone out today and yesterday from many sources and articles that the police gave out false information on why Justin was arrested, and have therefore been suspended. It is to be believed that Justin was arrested not for DUI or drag racing, but for only his licence being expired. I honestly don't know which reports are true and which aren't, but neither does anyone, except for Justin and the truthful police officers.

Regardless of why exactly Justin was arrested, him and beliebers have been receiving an ENORMOUS amount of hate since the incident. Including beliebers being accused of condoning Justin's 'drink driving' (which we're not even sure is true or not) as support trends were made on Twitter. But, I have not seen one belieber on the internet condoning it at all. And me being one myself, I definitely don't stand for it. If anything beliebers were the most worried and disappointed in Justin out of everyone when we heard that he'd been arrested. As we'd never thought in a million years that the little kid singing 'One Time' would now have his own mugshot.

The support trends were made for Justin as it was rumored that the only thing he was worried about whilst being in jail was that his beliebers had left him. - what artist wouldn't worry about that? Beliebers wanted him to know that we're still here for him, even though we don't agree with his mistakes. We were no way in hell defending him for his arrest and saying that its okay because its 'Justin Bieber and he's only 19'. In fact, most of his fans were saying that they would 'slap him if they could right now', and that they 'hope he learns from this'.
Also, it was reported that Justin has been on prescribed anti-depressant tablets for about 5 months now. Which people were also judging him about, as if he hasn't been judged enough? You think he wanted everyone to know he's been depressed? No, 'cause if he did he would of said it himself. But sadly some police officers let it out into the world for him. The boy really has NO privacy. Tbh, if I lived his life I'd probably be depressed too. Again- beliebers were not saying that this is an excuse for his actions. Unlike some people made up that we were.

Bottom line is, I'm sick and tired of him constantly being judged by people who don't know him or know what he's really like. People act as if he's the only person in history to do something bad, they say that he shouldn't mess up but yet they're waiting for the very moment he does, so they can exploit him even more. I've seen all of the comments saying that 'its sad that beliebers are still with him even after this' but tbh its sad that you should be concentrating on your own life, yet you're sitting behind a screen stating how much you think a 19 year old boy who you've never even met who's presumably much more talented than you'll ever be is a 'cunt' and a 'cocky little piece of shit' and a lot of other horrid descriptions. You need to take a look at yourself cos I guarantee that you've done similar, if not worse things. Truth is you only see the bad, you don't see the good, so how can you judge when you haven't seen both sides? I could sit here and state all of the good things he's done, but I'd be here for days. And I don't want this post to be even more biased, haha.

I don't think that Justin's going on a down whirl spiral, I think he's just a bit lost and in need of some help. Its not like he's came out of jail and thinks that everything's okay now and that everything's gunna go back to normal. He was crying in his dad's arms when he came out, probably not because of what happened, but probably because within feeling numb for the past 5 months... he finally felt something. He was nothing but relieved when he saw that beliebers were outside the station, and apparently broke down crying. But then who am I to say? I don't know him.

Thank you for taking the time to read my little 'rant'. I know it's not my usual type of post but I needed to get this out.

Sincerely,

Current bath-time loves!

My current bath time faves!

Hello loves,
My favourite part of the day is probably bath time. It's really the only time where I can properly relax and detox myself. Here are a few things that have been making my bathroom experience even better!
Disclaimer: sorry for the lack of clarity in the pictures, I used my phone instead of my camera today.

1) Soap & Glory body buff scrub:
I received this as a christmas present last year and have absolutely fallen in love with it! It includes babasso oil and sea salt, which enables it to exfoliate the skin. It's appearance reminds me of little pot of pink sugary goodness. Also I find that a little bit goes a long way.
Its such a nice texture and isn't too rough on the skin, it smells lovely as well. After use my skin feels renewed and soft.

2) Imperial Leather citrus burst shower gel:
You know me and my scents...
This is another addition to one of my favourite scents of ALL TIME. Its perfect for a morning shower if you're in need of a wake up. It's so refreshing and yummy at the same time.

3) (Oh look, it's S&G again) Soap & Glory body lotion:
I've loved this ever since I discovered it around 2 years ago. It has the traditional S&G scent which of course, I love. It glides onto the skin smoothly and doesn't feel greasy/sticky afterwards. I'd say the texture is buttery/whipped. Also this lasts a super duper long time may I add!

That's it for my bathroom favourites!- I tried to keep it as limited as possible. Hope you enjoyed today's post! Make sure to follow/comment, whatever you fancy.

See you soon!

The Liebster Award!

Hey!
If you've been following my blog for a while, you may remember when I did this post before. Since then I have been nominated again, but this time by the lovely Tamara - go take a peek at her blog when you're done reading this!

If its your first time hearing of this, here's a brief description of what The Liebster Award is all about:
'The Liebster Award is given to bloggers who have less than 200 followers on BlogLovin' as a way of connecting with other bloggers. Write 11 facts about yourself and answer the 11 questions the blogger who nominated you has asked.'

Lets get into it then!

11 facts about moi...

1. I'm 5'4 and growing.

2. I despise maths. Even thinking about it makes me feel ill, ew.

3. I'm constantly craving either Mcdonalds, Chinese or take away pizza, basically any take away.

4. I don't drink, I hate the taste of alcohol and haven't yet come across one that I like.

5. I hate public transport.

6. In my spare time I do a little bit of photography.

7. I'm crap at saving money.

8. I like walking outside when it's raining as I feel like the umbrella protects me from the world.

9. I haven't been on holiday for years.

10. My favourite product to apply is concealer. Weird I know, but I just get a thrill out of applying and blending it, also it makes such a difference to your face.

11. I speak Spanish besides English. (not fluent though)

11 Questions From Tamara...

1. Why did you start blogging?
Honestly, it was pure boredom. For years I've watched people on YouTube and when I found out that most of them had a blog as well, it made me think- why don't I join them?

2. How many siblings do you have?
I have 1 brother.

3. What is you childhood dream job(this might have changed since then)?
When I was really young, like most little girls, I wanted to be a pop star/dancer/actress, anything that might make me a celebrity basically. Then when I got a little bit older I said I wanted to be a vet, even though I had no idea of most of the things the job includes. Haha

4. If you could make one law, what would it be?
That everyone should show respect to one another. Seriously, where has the love gone? Regularly, I'm shocked by what society has become and I hate how most people just ignore it and act like its normal, but I guess that's because it has become 'normal'.

5. Have you ever been in a production, whether that be film, musical, or music?
When I was younger I did dancing, singing and drama all at the same club and was in many show cases over the years I was there. Nothing professional or anything though, sadly.

6. Most famous person you have met?
I haven't met anyone anything close to famous yet.

7. Favorite Band?
To be honest I don't have a favourite band, but I like the 1975's and Maroon 5's music.

8. What is the ultimate pet you could have?
I'd love to have something like a tiger or a wolf as a pet, that'd be cool.

9. The Clothes shop you shop in the most?
Probably New Look or Primark.

10. All time favorite brand(in everything)?
Soap and Glory.

11. If you could be anybody, who would it be?
As I've gotten older, I've learned to accept and love being me but if I really had to choose to be someone else, it'd have to be Audrey Hepburn. I idolize her and I'm fascinated by her life.

Thanks so much for reading! Lastly, I nominate YOU, yes YOU for this award (if you have less than 200 followers on bloglovin'). You're welcome. Why not comment the link once you're done so I can have a read too?

2013 Favourites!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I thought i'd jump on the bandwagon and do a post of all of the things I've been loving throughout the year of 2013. Ranging from makeup - music.

1) NYC Big Bold Bronzing Powder- I don't usually get along with bronzer as I'm very porcelain and find that most bronzers make me look orange or 'muddy'. But this is honestly like the best thing in avoiding that! Its very light but easily build-able, also depending on what type of brush you use. Its perfect for contouring as well as its matte and it just gives off a really natural finish. Lastly, its by NYC so its quite the bargain!

2) Real Techniques Expert Face Brush- Excuse the bristle dirtiness in this picture, its in need of a clean! (Oops) But its possible that I've used this every single day throughout 2013 and will continue to in 2014.. Its amazing if you want to do your foundation/concealer in a hurry, or just if you want your face makeup to look flawless!

3) The Fault In Our Stars - John Green- I did a review on this book a few days ago which you can view here. This is the most perfect book and I definitely recommend it!

4) The Key- Justin Bieber- Now you all know I'm a belieber, but even if I wasn't I'd still love this perfume. It honestly smells so amazing, you have to try it! I'm also in love with the packaging, I think it looks so sleek and classy, and it comes with a little charm which you can attach to anything you like which is a bonus. In my opinion its definitely the best perfume Justin's brought out yet!

5) Pretty Quik Instant Nail Polish Remover- I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before in a previous post, but I think its one of the most ingenious things ever and I'm obsessed with it.. Its such a life saver!

 6) The beloved Rimmel Stay Matte Powder- If you can remember me talking about this in a previous favourites post, you might also remember that it was in pieces.. I've now re-stocked and bought a brand new one! (finally) Again, I believe I've used this almost every day throughout 2013, and I know I'm not the only one.

7) Nivea Oil Free Moisturizer- This stuff smells amazing. In fact, most Nivea products smell amazing, but this is like nothing I've smelt before and its kind of a hard scent to describe but its very fresh and just, ugh, sooo good. To be honest I think that's the main reason I like it... It doesn't feel greasy at all on the skin or fingers and I have noticed that it keeps my shine at bay for a longer period of time than any of my previous moisturizers used to.

8) MUA Blusher in 'Bon Bon'- Can you believe that this blusher was just £1?!? I'm still in shock! This is such a good product considering it's so bloody cheap (MUA I love you) the pigmentation is way stronger than I expected, you only need the tiniest amount as a little goes a long way, which is great as the size of the product is quite small, but I can tell it's going to last me a while. I'm fo' sure going to collect more of these as soon as I can!

9) Makeup, The Ultimate Guide - Rae Morris- I have another book here, but this is very different.
I have various makeup books as I'm all about finding out different skills and techniques to use either in my day to day makeup routine, or things which will apply to my dream job (makeup artist). Even though I only came across it towards the end of 2013, Its such a great guide and includes some stunning how-to makeup looks along with some helpful, unique advice.

10) No Name Lipstick- I'm being honest here when I say I literally have no idea what this lipstick is called, or where its from as I received it in a gift set a few years ago and only in 2013 reclaimed it again as it had been hiding away in a draw. But its a lovely dark berry/wine colour, sadly the camera doesn't pick it up too well but I've been loving this as an autumn/winter lipstick. I apologize for the lack of info on this!

11) Journals - Justin Bieber- If you haven't already listened to this album I advise you to immediately, it will seriously change your whole opinion of Justin's music, if you've ever doubted or judged him before. Journals is by far my favourite album of the year, and my favourite song of the year is 'Swap It Out' which is also from this album (wow, shocker). Please check out the whole album but if you cant then just listen to Swap It Out, you will not regret it!

Thanks for reading, and wishing you all the best in 2014!
