Miracle eye primer!

w7 eye primer!

Hi there :)

I've been meaning to do a review of this eye primer for a long time now, but have only just got round to doing it. Firstly I think that this eye primer is amazing for the price it is, its honestly so cheap! You can get it off amazon for under a pound! I know right?!
The consistency of it is quite thick but not heavy, it kinda feels a bit pasty at first but depends how much you apply, however it absorbs into the skin really quickly. I feel as if it makes my eye shadows a bit stronger and definitely makes them last longer, which is great considering how cheap it was, as I wasn't expecting much but the reviews on it were good so I thought I'd give it a try.
Lastly, I think you can get this in drug stores but I found it was much cheaper online.

Comment your favourite eye primers and if you've tried this one!
Thanks for reading, geeeboo xox

Tagged: The Good & Bad Beauty Blogger Tag!

The Beauty Blogger Tag!

This tag was created by Saffron who's blog is at http://saffystyle.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/good-and-bad-tag.html#more so all credits to her!
And I'd like to thank Louise at http://kinderhealthandbeauty.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/tagged-good-and-bad-beauty-blogger-tag.html for tagging me!

Here's how it goes: Answer the questions and tag as many other bloggers to do this tag as you wish, but notify them afterwards, obviously :)
So lets start!

Things I'm Good At:

Face makeup- I don't always wear foundation, especially not a thick layer, but I always powder and conceal, and usually use blusher or something as well. Id say I'm good at applying it, I always make sure its blended in properly, and it never looks orange, most of the time people don't even notice I wear face makeup because you don't see it sitting on the skin like a mask. I use a combination of brushes/fingers/sponges.

Lips- I rarely wear lipstick unless its for a special event or if its a nude colour, most of the time I just wear a natural coloured tinted lip balm or lip stain, I used to wear gloss but not anymore. I'm quite a perfectionist when it comes to lip products, I always make sure its even and smooth and not too harsh for an everyday look.

Eyes- I believe that I'm quite good at my eye makeup, although I have heard from some that its a bit messy in the past, but I'm not sure if they were just trying to bring me down, haha. I do a winged eyeliner practically everyday so I'm good at that from the practice, and I'm never too dramatic on eye shadow or anything either, especially if its a thick eyeliner line. Since that comment I've been a lot neater, and don't rush it like I used to.

Skincare- I'm religious about a clean face! I can never go all day with a layer of makeup on, it just feels so dirty.. There's nothing I love more than coming home and wiping off all my makeup and then cleansing my face, as I know its better for my skin, which makes me feel good I guess.

Nails- Again, this is a thing I tend to rush as I'm so impatient! I do enjoy doing my nails, but sometimes I feel like its a bit of a chore, even if there's a colour I really want to put on, and especially if it ends up going wrong, I get so frustrated! However I do get compliments on my nails most of the time, I like doing designs with the nail art pens and thinking of creative things to paint. Those are the ones that normally get the compliments.

Body- As I'm a clean freak, I always make sure my body is washed at least once a day, like I'm sure most people do. I love having nice relaxing baths, particularly in the winter they're like the highlight of my day! I try to exfoliate and moisturize as much as I can but well.. I'll tell you the rest in the Things I'm Bad At section.

Lifestyle- I don't smoke or drink and I try to eat as much healthy foods as I can, but junk food will always taste better to me. ;)

Now onto..

Things I'm Bad At:

Face- As I'm pale as a ghost, I find it hard to find my exact match of foundation so it may sometimes be a bit dark for me, but I always blend it into my neck so its not patchy or orange. Also I'm not very good at contouring, I feel like I can do it, but it never really makes a difference or makes my face look slimmer, I don't know if its just because I'm doing it quite subtly or if I'm doing it completely wrong.

Lips- I never use a lip liner, so I guess it doesn't look as clean cut and sharp as it should, but I'm just lazy.

Eyes- I'm not really that good at blending eye shadow, I think its because the brush I use isn't a proper blending brush, I'm not sure though. Also sometimes my mascara or eyeliner transfers onto the bottom of my eye and smudges, which is annoying, I've tried numerous things to prevent it but none of them work!

Skincare- I forget to prime before foundation nearly every day, and especially because I have oily skin, I know I should be on top of it! Also, I'm a sucker for picking/squeezing spots, its a huge no no, but whenever I get a new spot I feel the urge to get rid of it quickly by doing it, it just relieves me from the pain/discomfort of a big lump under my skin. (Pleasant I know)

Nail varnish- I never apply a base coat or top coat before and after painting. I also leave my nail varnish on for way too long even after I'm bored of the colour, again, (because I'm lazy) and then it ends up staining which is always wonderful.

Body- I don't moisturize or exfoliate everyday like I know you should, mainly because I don't feel like I have dry skin so I usually don't think it will matter too much if I don't, I just have no time to do it but its definitely something I need to work on!

Lifestyle- This is a big problem of mine but I simply don't drink enough water and no matter how many times I've been told, I just don't do it, not purposely though, I just don't feel thirsty a lot so I don't think to go take a drink. Although in the summer I must say that I do drink a lot more because of the heat and all, but in the winter/other months I hardly drink any. :/ I also need to eat more healthy foods like veg/fruit and fish, especially fish actually as I hate it but its seriously one of the healthiest things you can eat, and even though I know how much I would benefit from it, I just cant bring myself to eat much of it as I hate the taste/smell.

My Beauty Confessions

BEAUTY CONFESSIONS :O

We all have our little things that we do in our beauty regime that aren't what it says in the book. Here are a few things I'm guilty of...

1. I sometimes put concealer on my eyelids as a primer, even though everyone says you shouldn't cos it creases and stuff.

2. I'm really unorganized when it comes to cleaning my makeup brushes, I'm just too lazy to do it.

3. I keep my mascara for waaaay longer than 3 months.

4. This isn't really a rule breaker, but I never use lip liner, even for red lipstick. I just never think of getting one when I'm shopping.

5. I'm not really gentle at all when wiping off my makeup, normally because I'm in a rush when I do, especially my eyes which I know I should be more careful with.

6. I have a heat protecting spray for my hair but I always forget to use it!

7. I don't do this anymore thankfully but when I was a younger I used to take a bath with a face full of makeup on. :/

8. This one is similar to number 7 but I sometimes exercise with makeup on too.

9. Even when I've had a lip gloss for years and there's still some left I refuse to throw it away and carry on using it even though its all sticky and old and not its best. haha.

10. I don't sharpen my eye liners when they need sharpening.

I'm sure there's more but that's all my beauty confessions for today! Thank you for taking time to read and follow me @geeeboo on Twitter and on here/bloglovin if you will :)

Comment your beauty confessions, Id love to hear them!

A day in my life!

A day in the life of geeeboo!

See what I got up to today living my boring life. Haha enjoy!

This morning was just like any other Saturday morning, I woke up,

Washed my face,

Had breakfast, (cereal and cup of tea as usual)

Brushed my teeth,
Done my makeup,

And got dressed.

I then had to do the thing I hate the most, homework. But I thought it'd be better to do it early in the morning so it was out of the way and I could carry on with my day.

Once I finished that it was time for lunch, which included a fry up.. yum! Trust me it looked better in real life.

I didn't plan on doing this today but my friend Izzy rung me up and invited me shopping, and me being a girl, how could I turn it down?!
Here is what I bought! These are all from Boots and Superdrug.

I then came home at about 5:30 pm and listened to some music on YouTube for probably a good hour.. I'm addicted.

Then it was time for dinna (Kinglsey voice) some of my cousins came over and joined us which was fun since I hardly ever see them anymore. Yes we had a roast on a Saturday..

After my cousins left, I had a nice relaxing bubble bath, I only really treat myself to one once a week as I usually don't have time on a school night. I used the Radox Muscle Relaxant bubble bath, ahhh

Now this is the part of my day where I'm typing this right now, so Hi! After this I will watch TV, scroll through the internet and then it's off to bed! I have to get up early tomorrow :(

Thanks for reading, Im sorry I know its boring, maybe I'll do another one when I have more interesting things going on haha, anyways please follow my twitter @geeeboo and comment what you thought of this post, and give me a follow on here/bloglovin :)

Looking to pass an exam?

Ways to pass an exam

Its gotten to that stage where most of you are taking your exams this/next year, as am I. I know the stress and the confusion it can cause, so hopefully these tips will help you like they have me. Good luck!

1) Start revising early!
By this I mean months, not days before your exam. Making a time table helps stick to this. Trust me it'll all pay off in the long run.

2) Do a lot of practice exams!
I think this ones pretty obvious why it helps. If you find out what you're weak at early on, it'll be easier to solve it before the exam comes around!

3) Take short breaks!
Not every 20 minutes, every hour!

4) Stick revision notes/flash cards all over your room!
Preferably on a mirror or somewhere you will be viewing often. This will make you memorize facts much better as they will be drilled into your memory.

5) Don't just read stuff, write it down!
You need to write stuff down in order to get it into your brain, especially if its a boring topic, just reading it wont do any good, you'll forget it in about 10 seconds! Also this way you can look back and go over it. There's no point in spending an hour revising if you're not even going to remember it!

6) Make sure you have drinks/snacks!
So you don't find excuses to stop.

7) Find the right environment!
Not in front of the TV, or listening to the radio. Music can sometimes be ok, but you need to find the right kind. It's got to be something that's just there in the background that you're not thinking about at all. Music without singing is better as you won't be tempted to dance around the room.

Top 2 concealers!

My favourite concealers!

Hi there,
It's been a while since I've done a review so I thought I'd share with you my 2 recent favourite drug store concealers. One for under eyes and one for blemishes.

I'll start off with the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer which is my favourite under-eye concealer at the moment. In my opinion it's just as good as a high-end concealer and I know I'm not the only one who thinks so. Its so creamy, non sticky and lightweight, it glides on really well and also blends into the skin perfectly. It has a brightening affect and does what it says- 'wakes you up'. And if applied with powder afterwards it lasts all day I find. However I would not advise to apply on blemishes or anything you want to hide as it will just highlight and make it more visible. Good for redness around the nose though.

Now onto the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer. This concealer is my absolute favourite go-to for hiding imperfections. Its very pigmented so a little goes a long way! Sometimes on days when I don't feel like wearing foundation I just apply some of this on certain areas of my face and blend it in with a foundation brush and I'm good to go! It also lasts an extremely long time but I don't like to use under my eyes as I think its a bit too heavy and thick to put under the eyes. But you can use it wherever you wish. Lastly I sometimes like to use it above my eyelids to hide veins or any blue/purple areas around my eyes and it works great!

Both concealers are available at practically any drug store (UK) and are a complete bargain for the quality!

Thanks for reading, comment with your favourite concealers and if you found my review helpful, it'd mean a lot :) Please follow my twitter @geeeboo and don't forget to follow me on here too! I always follow back xox

Eat your way to beautiful skin!

Eat your way to beautiful skin!

Do you crave perfect skin? If you do then keep reading as I'm going to show you the super foods that can help you get pretty close!

Vitamin C

Whilst also being an antioxidant, vitamin c helps blemishes heal properly, strengthens the immune system and gives you radiant skin. Sources of this are foods such as blueberries, strawberries, sweet potato, broccoli, oranges,  etc.

Stock up on selenium

Selenium is a very powerful antioxidant, it is also essential for the immune system. Studies suggest that a selenium rich diet can prevent skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. Good sources are fish, eggs, tomatoes, and broccoli.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E protects skin from oxidative (cell) damage and supports healthy skin growth. Foods high in vitamin E include avocado, hazelnuts and almonds.

Drink up

I'm sure you all know this anyway but water is the key to all round health, for your skin and your body. It flushes out toxins and anything bad in your body which will overall clear up your skin. You should be drinking around 6-8 glasses a day, so drink up!

Thanks for reading and i hope you take this information on board :) Comment/Follow @geeeboo on twitter

Hate homework?

Homework?

Anyone who has a brain knows what homework is, but how many people actually enjoy it?
I feel as if through primary school, homework was fine, it was simple and easy, but even then i didn't like it. I found it annoying and boring as I'm sure most kids did and i normally didn't understand it as i was quite a dumb child. But even though i don't recall it, it probably did help me in some way.

Then once i got to secondary school the homework increased massively, and punishments for not handing it in was way more extreme. I hate the idea of getting punished, call me a wimp or a goody too shoes, but i just have always hated it, i also find it quite embarrassing. So i always make sure i have my homework done before i go back to school.

I hate the fact that you spend all day, from Monday to Friday at school, only to get home just to do MORE work! Crazy right? Its like we might as well not even bother going home because at least at school you'll have the help of your teachers and other resources, where as when im at home im kind of scared to ask my parents for help as they look down at me for it, and end up getting into an argument if i still don't understand it even after they've explained to me how to do it. It makes me feel stupid and like a failure sometimes and i would rather just not go through it.

So still on the fact that it takes up practically our entire lives, only leaving us a few hours of free time instead of 2 whole days on the weekend, it adds to my stress. Leaving the free time i do have to not be enjoyed as much because i know in my head that very soon i will have to go back to school to do and receive even more. Ok, rant over. Now i gotta go.. i have homework to do

This is just my views and opinions on this topic. Feel free to comment yours! Follow me on here and on twitter too please @geeeboo it'd really mean a lot. As always thanks for reading :)

My August Favourites

AUGUST FAVOURITES

The month of August has been a great one, well for me anyway. But its also a depressing one towards the end of it, as if you're around my age, you will be dreading heading back to school at the beginning of September. :(

Anywhere, here are the things I have been loving over last month!

1) The Bobbi Brown makeup manual- this book is AMAZING! Literally, whether you're an aspiring makeup artist or a young girl who's just interested in makeup & looking for the greatest tips and tricks, this is for you! Also great as a gift.

2) Cookie Crisp Brownie cereal (new)- I'm not sure if they sell these in any other country but I just love them so much I had to put them on here! haha. They are so tasty and great for a nighttime snack! My favourite cereal at the moment.

3) Lip products in general- Recently I've been obsessed with lip products, whether its balms, glosses, stains, lipsticks or tints, I've been collecting all in my path! I never used to wear any sort of lip product on my lips, accept for Vaseline maybe. But now I just cant get enough!

4) Temple Run 2- This isn't really a new thing but I have been liking it through August, I just think its a fun game to play especially when you're bored and its very addictive.

5) Will Heard & Cara Delevingne 'Sonnentanz'- Now this isn't the official version as Cara isn't apart of the official song but this duet is so beautiful. You can just go onto YouTube and type it in and you'll find it, its definitely my favourite song at the moment! So go check it out! :)

That's all for my August favourites, thank you for reading! Comment/Follow if you like :)
