Get this nail product now!

BEST NAIL PRODUCT EVER!

Sally Hansen Nail Growth Pen

I purchased this product way, way back, to be precise it was either 2007 or early 2008 I cant remember exactly because that's how long ago it was. And I'm just as surprised as you are reading this as that's about 6 years! And I still to this day use it and Its not really running out, I cant tell exactly how much there is left in there but I think I'm good for another year or two haha.

However, I don't use it every day which is probably why it hasn't ran out, but I don't think you're meant to, or need to use it everyday. Also before I properly begin if you don't know what this product is it basically makes your nails stronger, healthier and longer and also conditions your cuticles, so it's like a nail treatment.

Before I bought this my nails had always been fairly short, however I was like 7 before I bought this so that's probably why, but even when I got to 8 which was when I bought this, my nails were a lot longer and nicer, I started to get loads of compliments on my nails which was kind of weird and flattering at the same time, haha.

I'm not sure if they still sell them because obviously it was so long ago that I bought it, but I'm sure either a newer version has came out, or the same one is still around, as its such a great product.

I'd recommend it it to anyone out there, even if you don't want long nails, its great at making them healthier and stronger. Also I cant remember how much it was because it was years ago, but I was a young kid so it cant of been that pricey, and I believe I got it from Superdrug (if you're from the UK), but I presume they sell it else where.

Overall this is probably the best nail product I've ever bought and I cant see myself using anything else, it seems to last a lifetime so I probably wont! Lol.

Thank you for reading and comment your views on this if you have it, or if you're thinking of getting it :)

Who's your idol?

"Celebrities"

If you follow me on twitter (@geeeboo) you'll know of my love for Audrey Hepburn and classic icons and old fashioned, vintage, classic things. Seriously though how can you not adore this woman? She's someone I have to keep reminding myself is no longer around anymore because her energy is just so powerful and captivating.

It got me thinking though, how different was the 50's 60's etc to these days? Where back then they had celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey, Grace Kelly etc. And now we have the Kardashians, and people who just plainly have no talent or anything to offer the world. If I could go back in time to those days I would, more than anything!

Its a real shame because people like Audrey should be who young girls of today look up to, she's a real role model, no one can deny. Its very rare you hear someone say "my idol is audrey hepburn". I just think such a legend should deserve more glory. In the words of one of her friends "She was a dream, the type of dream that you remember and smile when you wake up".

Don't get me wrong there are some amazing idols who do grace the earth today, I just think we shouldn't forget about the ones that were truly wonderful, because they deserve better than that, and so do we.

Don't forget to comment/follow and all, and as always thanks for reading :)

Dreams

What's your dream?

What do you dream of? It might be a career, lifestyle, relationship, or a new you.
You can dream all you like, but when do you decide to change that dream into reality?
All my life I've been told to follow my dreams and pursue them, and let me tell ya its a lot easier said than done. Here's a favorite quote of mine: "Dream it, believe it, be it." I'm a believer that dreams only happen if you make them, its really all down to you at the end of the day. Unless you're extremely lucky or its meant to be.

But lets face it, your dream job is not gunna be yours if you just sit on your ass all day. You are in charge of your destiny. In my opinion there's nothing more rewarding than getting something you've worked for and you did all by yourself. I'm also a believer that everything happens for a reason, so if you did in fact work and strive towards your dream job, it wasn't meant to be, and you'll understand and find out why in time. Crazy how life works like that.

If you cant go a day without thinking about a goal or a dream you have, please make it a reality, do it for me? :p You can thank me later.

You really can be or do anything you want to if you set your mind to it. I'm going to leave you with another quote now:
"Nothings impossible, the word itself is IM POSSIBLE." - (The GODDESS) Audrey Hepburn

Have you tried the famous beauty blender?

Beauty Blenders

Im sure you've heard a lot of hype about these blender sponges, as have I. I ordered them about a month ago but they took AGES to arrive because they came from China, but since they arrived I had time to try them out, and I can tell you that they do live up to the hype!

All you need to do is make sure its damp before use and it will work brilliantly! They are very cute and I find more fun than regular brushes, they do what the name says, blend, very well and give off a natural, flawless finish.

However since they absorb a lot of product, dirt and oil, they are quite hard to clean with soap/shampoo, whatever you normally use for cleaning makeup tools. Some come with a cleanser in the packaging, but mine didn't, however if yours doesn't come with one, just use a portion of olive oil and some washing up liquid, mix together and massage into sponge under running water, it should work fine!

So overall, loving these and cant wait to continue using them!

Size don't matter!

You are beautiful!

I feel like people these days, especially teenagers, are constantly obsessed with body image instead of health. These are two very different things. The majority of girls want a 'thigh gap' and a small waist and skinny legs etc, and boys want ripped muscles and toned bodies. I really don't see why girls want a gap in between their legs, most of the time no one even looks down there anyway, (unless you're a perv) and its nothing special anyway, its a gap containing air... Obviously if you've got one im not saying you're not beautiful, im just saying I don't know why people are so obsessed with getting them and thinking that if they have one guys will be chasing after them and their life will be so much better. Its stupid, because that's not the case at all, coming from someone who has one. But im underweight, so im basically not healthy.

And this is what im getting at, people may be like "oh you're so skinny I wish I had a thigh gap like you, I wish my legs were as skinny as yours" blah blah blah, and yeah im thankful for their compliments but id rather be healthy than socially accepted, and even though I do have one, I still wouldn't say that im socially accepted, haha. And im underweight because of an illness I have which makes it harder for me to put on weight. So i know that im not my healthiest. But people seem to act like they'd rather put body image before health, and that's mainly because of society.

Society puts an image in peoples' heads that slim is acceptable and anything above curvy is not. People need to know that they cant let the media, a loved one, or a number define their beauty. Because people come in all shapes and sizes but they're ALL beautiful. Health should always come first because that's whats most important at the end of the day, not what others think is socially beautiful or not.

HEALTH = BEAUTY - When you feel good on the inside, it shows on the outside.

Review - Carmex

Carmex moisture plus lip balm (berry)

I'd been looking for a lip balm with a tint of colour for a long time before I came across this one after my mum bought one in this exact colour, I loved it instantly.

I expected it to look like a normal lip balm, but to my surprise it was like a miniature sheer lipstick. You can see by rolling it up that there is a lot of product in there, so it should last a while, especially if not used everyday.

These also come in 2 other colors (peach and pink), plus a clear one. And all contain SPF 15.

Like I said before, they are very sheer, the colour is not very strong which is to my liking, and it feels like it has sort of a cooling effect on my lips, it glides on smoothly and moisturizes my lips nicely.

However I don't feel as if it lasts as long on my lips as other lip products, especially if you're talking or eating a lot.

I purchased this from Boots, but I'm sure you can get them elsewhere, and possibly online.

Hope you enjoyed this review, please comment/follow, all that jazz. Thanks for reading! :)

BEST HAIR BRUSH EVER!

Tangle Teezer

This is another item I have only recently purchased, but I can already say that this is the best hair brush I've ever used in my ENTIRE LIFE! Seriously, whether you have the most unmanageable hair possible, or the most manageable hair possible, this hair brush is for you! Its so lightweight and easy to hold, it also fits well into a handbag so its good for travelling, it works on wet or dry hair and doesn't hurt AT ALL when brushing!

Its so perfect! Coming from someone who has extremely thick, un-tamed, knotty hair, trust me. It glides along your hair so smoothly, and leaves it really soft and it doesn't tug or hurt your hair at all! I couldn't believe it since i'd gone through my whole life hating the thought of brushing my hair because of the annoyance and pain, it was more like a chore for me to be honest! Now I love doing it, and its super quick so if you're a busy women, this is for you!

After researching this hairbrush a lot before I actually decided on buying it, I didn't fully believe the people who were saying it doesn't hurt at all, even if you have the knottiest hair, but once I gave it a try I was hooked! My hair has never looked or felt better. And its an affordable price too, I got mine online but you can purchase it in drug stores like Boots (if you're from the UK).

Also they come in a variety of different colours, not just orange.

Comment your experience with the Tangle Teezer or if I've convinced you to buy this or not!
As always thanks for reading :)

Part 2 - School

School part 2

Ok so I felt like I had to do a part 2 to my school post as I don't feel I gave both sides of the argument and got everything that I wanted to say in it. Yeah there are perks of school, like when you get an A on that test you've been studying your ass of for, or hanging out with friends, meeting new people, getting inspired, learning/understanding, having a laugh etc.. And the thing is, even though overall I don't like school, I am extremely grateful for it and that I have the opportunity to learn so I can get the grades I need for whatever job I want to do. As I know there are others in the world who will never get that opportunity, I just dislike the social side of school I guess (the students, teachers, bullying, 'populars') and annoying things like waking up early, studying etc, all the things I mentioned in part 1.

But at the end of the day, those aren't the things that school should be about, it should be about the education. You shouldn't let anything or anyone get in the way of that, because if you do, you'll regret it and wish you could go back and start over again, when in reality you can never go back.

So,

Try to make the most of the years you have, work with the bad, turn everything bad into good!

As always feel free to comment your opinion on this! and thanks for reading :)

Fabulous makeup brushes!

Real Techniques brushes

I purchased the Real Techniques brushes after hearing nothing but good things about them for months, but as they are a bit pricey to buy in regular shops, I decided to buy them online where they were much cheaper.
Since i first acknowledged them on YouTube, everyone always said they were "the best brushes" they've ever used, i was very skeptical until I actually had them in my hands, the texture of the brushes are so soft and unlike any brush I've had before, they are a handy size to fit in my makeup bag and work really well with makeup and your skin!

I never really rave about any makeup brushes except for these bad boys, they are truly amazing and I think they are the best quality out there! You can purchase them as a set or individually.

Extra info: They are animal friendly
: Made by makeup artist Samantha Chapman who is on YouTube with her sister Nic at pixiwoo, go check 'em out!

Part 1 - School

School part 1

So school is starting in a couple of weeks, oh the joy i know. And most of you are probably either really nervous (like me) or excited...
Ever since I was young I've always hated school, and that's down to a number of reasons. Even before I started school I hated it, I didn't like nursery (kindergarten) either.. haha I'm very hard to please. I think I hated it before I even started because I didn't like the idea of starting something new, and being away from my mum who I'd clung onto ever since I was born basically.

Most people say "oh you'll be fine once you get there" well, most of it was fine, but to be honest a lot of bad things also happened to me once starting school, for example the teachers embarrassed me a lot and didn't really understand me, I was and still am a very anxious and sensitive person, so I might of taken some of the things that happened the wrong way. But anyway, I was my happiest when I wasn't at school, and my saddest when I was.

Yeah, I had friends who helped me get by, but i just think the whole learning process and getting up early and homework and pressure and annoying teachers where the things that made me despise it so much.
Especially now I'm in secondary school, (high school), the pressure is maximized by 100! This is literally the years that your future is depending on, scary shit right? Also secondary school is the place where bullying happens more, the big b.

Thankfully I haven't experienced physical bullying but i have emotionally, and this i think is probably the biggest reason at the moment why I hate school, I don't just hate it because its effected me personally, I hate it because of how it effects others as well, I mean you're going to get bullying in every school, but i don't think schools are doing enough about it and don't always understand how bad it is for some people.
I could actually go on about school forever, but I'm probably boring you so I'll leave it here.

Thanks for reading! Comment if you agree or disagree with my views on school

The cutest lip balms!

balmi

If you've never heard of the balmi lip balms before you may of however heard of the EOS lip balms, balmi is quite similar except they are in a cube packaging and are cone shaped inside instead of EOS's oval shape inside and out. EOS is a US brand, and balmi is a UK brand.

After months of hearing about balmi I only recently purchased some, I bought 1 in mint & 1 in strawberry. I cant really pick a favourite at the moment, but i can tell you that they are VERY nourishing and moisturizing and leave my lips feeling supple and smooth afterwards, coming from someone who's had very chapped, flaky lips for some time. They last extremely long, a lot more than i expected and they have SPF 15 in them which is a bonus. Also they come with a little attachment on the end which can attach onto your keys, you can remove this though.

Now onto smell, the mint one smells fresh, a bit sweet, and of course minty. The strawberry one smells like an artificial strawberry, very sweet but not too overpowering.
Oh i almost forgot! You can get balmi in Boots (if you live in the UK) for £4.99 however some are on offer at £2.99 in some Boots shops. These might sound pricey for a lip balm but i personally think they're worth it. They last a lot longer than EOS and glide onto your lips easier because of the pointed tip. If you're a lip balm addict or are looking for a good quality lip balm, this product if definitely worth investing in.

Comment with your views on this lip balm below! I'd love to hear.
