New Tea Obsession

White Tea

For as long as I can remember I have always had a strong love for tea, it started off with just regular black tea, then I slowly got introduced to green tea, and now white tea. All because I started Google-ing questions that'd I'd been wondering- Which tea is healthiest for you? Which tea doesn't stain your teeth? etc, etc.
By doing so I came across a tea which I had never ever heard of before: white tea. It was reported to be the only tea which doesn't stain your teeth, and proven to be the healthiest tea out of all teas. It has stronger anti-cancer properties than my old beloved green tea AND doesn't stain your teeth! What more could I ask for?

My love for white tea evolved before I'd even sipped a drop of it. So as you can guess, the next step was to buy some. Once I got home and tried it I could not believe how good it was. I was expecting it to taste pretty much exactly the same as green tea (as that's what it had said on Google) but it tasted much sweeter than green tea and almost like regular tea but without the milk and sugar of course. From then on I was hooked, I have at least 1 mug a day now and it fulfills the same need I have for the common black tea, whilst being so much healthier. I feel really relaxed and refreshed when drinking this, it also puts me at ease that it doesn't stain my teeth, as this is something I'm conscious of when drinking other teas.

As it says on the back of the box you can add whatever you like to white tea; milk/sugar.
You should be able to purchase it in most supermarkets and farm/organic shops. I got this box of bags from Tesco.
However, all good things come at a price... White tea is the most expensive tea you can get but its still affordable, I believe.

This has definitely become my new favourite tea and I just can't get enough of it recently! You'd be a fool not to try it! Why don't you comment your favourite tea? I'd love to hear from you.

Prom Dress ideas!

Secondary School is slowly coming to an end for some of us, which can only mean one thing... PROM.

Prom can be intimidating for some people, such as myself, but for others it can be one of the most exciting times of their life. Either way, we all want to have a good night, so here's a variety of beautiful dresses that I have found on the cheaper side, to give you some inspiration if you still haven't found your dress yet. Even if you left school what seems like 1000 years ago, these dresses are still a great choice for parties/other occasions.

Makeup in a hurry!

Are you familiar with frantically searching through your makeup bag looking for anything and everything to slap onto your face in the space of about 5 minutes before you have to head out into society, whilst hoping it'll turn out looking pitch-perfect? Yes I know the feeling, doing your makeup in a rush is a very stressful struggle. I'm here today to show you my go-to makeup regime when I'm in a hurry to get out the door.
This look is also great for school/work.

First apply a BB cream/tinted moisturizer to your face. This will help save time of vigorous blending and you can apply it straight from your fingertips! BB creams are great as they're so light they make your skin still look like, well.. skin! However they only give a little amount of coverage so if you need more feel free to go over with a concealer on your desired areas.

If you don't like using your fingers to blend, why not try a beauty blender? They're amazingly quick at blending and give the same natural finish as you would when using your fingers!

Now you can go in with your concealer, I use the Wake Me Up concealer by Rimmel to freshen/brighten up my face.

Then you might wanna dust it all in place with a powder, again by Rimmel, I use the Stay Matte powder which is fab-u-lous. For me, I definitely cannot leave this step out!

As eye shadow can be time consuming, we're going to skip this step. So this means that your eyebrows are even more important now. Filling in your eyebrows really frames your eyes and face, I believe that your makeup is not complete without it. Powder gives a more natural effect, but as we're in a rush remember, pencils are a lot quicker. Don't forget to comb your eyebrows through with a spoolie afterwards.

As there's no time for eye liner lets move straight to the lashes. I use the Natural Collection mascara, which I can honestly say I only bought because it was cheap.

Another thing you may have time for is to line your water line or the inner corners of your eyes. This will brighten up your eyes and make them stand out more. Again, this is also from Natural Collection, its cheap but does the job.

Finally, finish up with a pop of colour! A nice tinted lip balm like the Maybelline Baby Lips is always my go-to. A bright colour makes you look healthier, and your makeup more vibrant. The beauty of it is you don't have to be super precise as it isn't a lipstick nor lip gloss- so no faffing around with lip liners/blotting.

I hope you've enjoyed this post!
Many thanks,

My FAVOURITE new scrub!

Baby Blue

Recently, I've really been loving Nivea's products. I just love how skin-friendly all of their products are and also how affordable they are. So now, this new face scrub has been happily added to my collection.

My recent previous face scrub was very harsh on my skin, it stunk of quite an unpleasant soapy smell, and just didn't do anything for me. Therefore I ended up chucking away an almost full tube of it - even though I loathe wasting things. However it was a Tesco Value one which I didn't personally buy myself, but ended up using it anyway. In this case I'm not too surprised of the quality it was.

I looove this exfoliator as firstly, its gentle on my skin (hence the name 'Gentle Exfoliating Scrub' on the packaging). It doesn't have an unpleasant smell like the previous one, actually it doesn't really have any scent at all. The colour of the packaging, and the scrub itself is my favourite colour! (baby blue). Lastly it feels so soft/squishy and gentle when rubbing it onto your face between your fingertips. I don't know what makes it feel this way, but I've never had a face scrub like it. Even ones that have claimed to be 'gentle' as well. Nothing compares to this.
Finally, you can use it up to 2-3 times a week, which is great for me as I hate waiting like a week until I can get rid of dead skin cells. My skin just feels so much more fresh and re-newed when using scrubs more frequently. And as this isn't harsh at all my skin thankfully doesn't have to pay consequences for it!

I wish to continue using this until/unless I find another/better alternative. I totally recommend Nivea products as they are slowly starting to become my new favourite brand! Okay, maybe they can't completely over take my beloved Soap & Glory, but Nivea is definitely not far behind!

Thank you for reading! Much love,
