2013 Favourites!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I thought i'd jump on the bandwagon and do a post of all of the things I've been loving throughout the year of 2013. Ranging from makeup - music.

1) NYC Big Bold Bronzing Powder- I don't usually get along with bronzer as I'm very porcelain and find that most bronzers make me look orange or 'muddy'. But this is honestly like the best thing in avoiding that! Its very light but easily build-able, also depending on what type of brush you use. Its perfect for contouring as well as its matte and it just gives off a really natural finish. Lastly, its by NYC so its quite the bargain!

2) Real Techniques Expert Face Brush- Excuse the bristle dirtiness in this picture, its in need of a clean! (Oops) But its possible that I've used this every single day throughout 2013 and will continue to in 2014.. Its amazing if you want to do your foundation/concealer in a hurry, or just if you want your face makeup to look flawless!

3) The Fault In Our Stars - John Green- I did a review on this book a few days ago which you can view here. This is the most perfect book and I definitely recommend it!

4) The Key- Justin Bieber- Now you all know I'm a belieber, but even if I wasn't I'd still love this perfume. It honestly smells so amazing, you have to try it! I'm also in love with the packaging, I think it looks so sleek and classy, and it comes with a little charm which you can attach to anything you like which is a bonus. In my opinion its definitely the best perfume Justin's brought out yet!

5) Pretty Quik Instant Nail Polish Remover- I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before in a previous post, but I think its one of the most ingenious things ever and I'm obsessed with it.. Its such a life saver!

 6) The beloved Rimmel Stay Matte Powder- If you can remember me talking about this in a previous favourites post, you might also remember that it was in pieces.. I've now re-stocked and bought a brand new one! (finally) Again, I believe I've used this almost every day throughout 2013, and I know I'm not the only one.

7) Nivea Oil Free Moisturizer- This stuff smells amazing. In fact, most Nivea products smell amazing, but this is like nothing I've smelt before and its kind of a hard scent to describe but its very fresh and just, ugh, sooo good. To be honest I think that's the main reason I like it... It doesn't feel greasy at all on the skin or fingers and I have noticed that it keeps my shine at bay for a longer period of time than any of my previous moisturizers used to.

8) MUA Blusher in 'Bon Bon'- Can you believe that this blusher was just £1?!? I'm still in shock! This is such a good product considering it's so bloody cheap (MUA I love you) the pigmentation is way stronger than I expected, you only need the tiniest amount as a little goes a long way, which is great as the size of the product is quite small, but I can tell it's going to last me a while. I'm fo' sure going to collect more of these as soon as I can!

9) Makeup, The Ultimate Guide - Rae Morris- I have another book here, but this is very different.
I have various makeup books as I'm all about finding out different skills and techniques to use either in my day to day makeup routine, or things which will apply to my dream job (makeup artist). Even though I only came across it towards the end of 2013, Its such a great guide and includes some stunning how-to makeup looks along with some helpful, unique advice.

10) No Name Lipstick- I'm being honest here when I say I literally have no idea what this lipstick is called, or where its from as I received it in a gift set a few years ago and only in 2013 reclaimed it again as it had been hiding away in a draw. But its a lovely dark berry/wine colour, sadly the camera doesn't pick it up too well but I've been loving this as an autumn/winter lipstick. I apologize for the lack of info on this!

11) Journals - Justin Bieber- If you haven't already listened to this album I advise you to immediately, it will seriously change your whole opinion of Justin's music, if you've ever doubted or judged him before. Journals is by far my favourite album of the year, and my favourite song of the year is 'Swap It Out' which is also from this album (wow, shocker). Please check out the whole album but if you cant then just listen to Swap It Out, you will not regret it!

Thanks for reading, and wishing you all the best in 2014!
