SUPER FLOSS

I can honestly say that until a few days ago I hadn't flossed since about 3 years ago. Hold on, hold on, before you judge me, this is due to me having braces. Yep I have 'em, which is something you probably didn't know about me. So basically since I first got my braces me (and my dentist) always dismissed flossing as they and I believed that you simply couldn't floss with braces as the wires are in the way.

However, when I was roaming the isles of Boots I came across a packet of 'Super floss' by Oral-B, which is basically a threader with floss attached to one end. I was amazed that I'd never even heard of, let alone seen anything like this before. Floss threaders allow you to floss by threading the solid tip underneath the brace wire, so that you can floss like you would before. Even though its more time-consuming and can be a bit fiddly to begin with, it means that your teeth and gums will be much healthier! - As flossing is a whole lot more important when you have braces.
I really don't understand why the dentist/orthodontist never recommended these, as I believe that they aren't a brand new product as when I did my research when I got home (you know me), I found a lot of people on YouTube who have spoke about them too. Although, the people were from the USA so maybe they just aren't as well-known here as they are there.
Anyways, back to the product. It comes in a small box as you can see in the picture, containing lots and lots of floss threaders which seem as if they'll last you a long, long time.

I'm so pleased that I've finally found this product, too bad that I discovered it when I'm near the end of my orthodontic journey (hopefully).

I recommend any type of floss threader to everyone who has braces and hasn't been flossing as a result of believing that they just couldn't.

Thank you for reading, luvs!

My New Loves

Hello darlingsss,

Its been a while since I've done one of these types of posts. The following below are a few examples of my some of my recent favourite stuff.

BLUEBERRY JAM :p

Oh my lord, how have I only just discovered this stuff?! Actually, I take that back.. I believe that I might have actually had this jam before but when I was very young, in which case I don't remember much. Has it been only recently that I'm reunited with it, and completely OBSESSED with it. Correct, I have been spreading this spread of heaven on my toast nearly every day ever since I purchased it a few weeks ago.
You're probably thinking: How is blueberry jam different to regular strawberry jam? I guess, well, it tastes more... blueberryish? It just is different okay!

CRIS CAB
If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know how much I have been loving Cris Cab's music lately. His voice is just, oh so perfect. He has a very unique, cool, refreshing sound. You just have to listen for yourself to be frank. Once you click 1 song, you won't be able to stop. Here's one of his covers which I adore: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBEZKR2iQds

BLENDING BRUSH
This is just a plain, basic fluffy brush from Amazon, and yes, it was cheap.
...Between me and you, this is my first ever blending brush! I only bought my first one just a few months ago... 'Don't judge me' Haha. I never understood the importance of one until recently, and its made blending eye shadow a whole lot more effective than when I was just using my finger and a weird, not-proper-blending brush.

HOMEWORK/REVISION
Haha, just kidding! But seriously, homework and revision is TAKING OVER my life right now! The perks of being in your last year of High School huh. So as you can tell, I looove this stuff, and have been doing it very frequently recently, and will continue to do so until it kills me. (Oh and by the way, the work you see in the picture is only 1% of it- I couldn't fit it all in.)

MISS SPORTY NAIL POLISH: #525

I'm actually not sure what the name of this colour is, all it says on the bottle is the number '525'. But anyway, I love this nail varnish as it creates a simple yet elegant look whilst being long lasting as well! The brush is a maxi brush which I personally appreciate as it makes painting the nails faster and more even, I believe.

COLGATE SENSITIVE / WHITENING TOOTHPASTE

This is the only tooth paste which actually works for me at whitening, as my teeth are just that yellow. (joking). For the first time ever, I have received comments on how white my teeth look, I was so stunned as I never really noticed, and never thought of my teeth as being noticeably white. I recommend this toothpaste for anyone that wants white and protected teeth!

IMPULSE MINI SPRAYS
I received these as a Christmas gift, and I must say they are like my babies. They are fun-sized so they're very convenient to carry around with you. And who am I kidding, who doesn't like the scents from Impulse?

Not again... IMPERIAL LEATHER SHOWER GEL

If you're a regular reader, (which I doubt anyone is) you may remember seeing one of these loves before in some of my posts. Yeah, I STILL believe that their Citrus Burst shower gel is by far the nicest thing I have ever smelt! And as you can see, I have used it A LOT. As for the one next to it 'Ocean Fresh' is a really lovely, refreshing, aquatic scent which reminds me of summer and the beach. But nothing can beat my beloved Citrus Burst.

ELNETT HEAT PROTECTING SPRAY

This stuff is amazing! Whilst protecting my hair from heat damage, it also smells lov-e-ly and makes my hair super soft and smooth. Being on the pricier side of the high street, it does the job right with extra bonuses. Plus I've had it for a while and I'm no where near running out yet.

As always, thank you for reading!

Love and Peace,

New Tea Obsession

White Tea

For as long as I can remember I have always had a strong love for tea, it started off with just regular black tea, then I slowly got introduced to green tea, and now white tea. All because I started Google-ing questions that'd I'd been wondering- Which tea is healthiest for you? Which tea doesn't stain your teeth? etc, etc.
By doing so I came across a tea which I had never ever heard of before: white tea. It was reported to be the only tea which doesn't stain your teeth, and proven to be the healthiest tea out of all teas. It has stronger anti-cancer properties than my old beloved green tea AND doesn't stain your teeth! What more could I ask for?

My love for white tea evolved before I'd even sipped a drop of it. So as you can guess, the next step was to buy some. Once I got home and tried it I could not believe how good it was. I was expecting it to taste pretty much exactly the same as green tea (as that's what it had said on Google) but it tasted much sweeter than green tea and almost like regular tea but without the milk and sugar of course. From then on I was hooked, I have at least 1 mug a day now and it fulfills the same need I have for the common black tea, whilst being so much healthier. I feel really relaxed and refreshed when drinking this, it also puts me at ease that it doesn't stain my teeth, as this is something I'm conscious of when drinking other teas.

As it says on the back of the box you can add whatever you like to white tea; milk/sugar.
You should be able to purchase it in most supermarkets and farm/organic shops. I got this box of bags from Tesco.
However, all good things come at a price... White tea is the most expensive tea you can get but its still affordable, I believe.

This has definitely become my new favourite tea and I just can't get enough of it recently! You'd be a fool not to try it! Why don't you comment your favourite tea? I'd love to hear from you.

Prom Dress ideas!

Secondary School is slowly coming to an end for some of us, which can only mean one thing... PROM.

Prom can be intimidating for some people, such as myself, but for others it can be one of the most exciting times of their life. Either way, we all want to have a good night, so here's a variety of beautiful dresses that I have found on the cheaper side, to give you some inspiration if you still haven't found your dress yet. Even if you left school what seems like 1000 years ago, these dresses are still a great choice for parties/other occasions.

Makeup in a hurry!

Are you familiar with frantically searching through your makeup bag looking for anything and everything to slap onto your face in the space of about 5 minutes before you have to head out into society, whilst hoping it'll turn out looking pitch-perfect? Yes I know the feeling, doing your makeup in a rush is a very stressful struggle. I'm here today to show you my go-to makeup regime when I'm in a hurry to get out the door.
This look is also great for school/work.

First apply a BB cream/tinted moisturizer to your face. This will help save time of vigorous blending and you can apply it straight from your fingertips! BB creams are great as they're so light they make your skin still look like, well.. skin! However they only give a little amount of coverage so if you need more feel free to go over with a concealer on your desired areas.

If you don't like using your fingers to blend, why not try a beauty blender? They're amazingly quick at blending and give the same natural finish as you would when using your fingers!

Now you can go in with your concealer, I use the Wake Me Up concealer by Rimmel to freshen/brighten up my face.

Then you might wanna dust it all in place with a powder, again by Rimmel, I use the Stay Matte powder which is fab-u-lous. For me, I definitely cannot leave this step out!

As eye shadow can be time consuming, we're going to skip this step. So this means that your eyebrows are even more important now. Filling in your eyebrows really frames your eyes and face, I believe that your makeup is not complete without it. Powder gives a more natural effect, but as we're in a rush remember, pencils are a lot quicker. Don't forget to comb your eyebrows through with a spoolie afterwards.

As there's no time for eye liner lets move straight to the lashes. I use the Natural Collection mascara, which I can honestly say I only bought because it was cheap.

Another thing you may have time for is to line your water line or the inner corners of your eyes. This will brighten up your eyes and make them stand out more. Again, this is also from Natural Collection, its cheap but does the job.

Finally, finish up with a pop of colour! A nice tinted lip balm like the Maybelline Baby Lips is always my go-to. A bright colour makes you look healthier, and your makeup more vibrant. The beauty of it is you don't have to be super precise as it isn't a lipstick nor lip gloss- so no faffing around with lip liners/blotting.

I hope you've enjoyed this post!
Many thanks,

My FAVOURITE new scrub!

Baby Blue

Recently, I've really been loving Nivea's products. I just love how skin-friendly all of their products are and also how affordable they are. So now, this new face scrub has been happily added to my collection.

My recent previous face scrub was very harsh on my skin, it stunk of quite an unpleasant soapy smell, and just didn't do anything for me. Therefore I ended up chucking away an almost full tube of it - even though I loathe wasting things. However it was a Tesco Value one which I didn't personally buy myself, but ended up using it anyway. In this case I'm not too surprised of the quality it was.

I looove this exfoliator as firstly, its gentle on my skin (hence the name 'Gentle Exfoliating Scrub' on the packaging). It doesn't have an unpleasant smell like the previous one, actually it doesn't really have any scent at all. The colour of the packaging, and the scrub itself is my favourite colour! (baby blue). Lastly it feels so soft/squishy and gentle when rubbing it onto your face between your fingertips. I don't know what makes it feel this way, but I've never had a face scrub like it. Even ones that have claimed to be 'gentle' as well. Nothing compares to this.
Finally, you can use it up to 2-3 times a week, which is great for me as I hate waiting like a week until I can get rid of dead skin cells. My skin just feels so much more fresh and re-newed when using scrubs more frequently. And as this isn't harsh at all my skin thankfully doesn't have to pay consequences for it!

I wish to continue using this until/unless I find another/better alternative. I totally recommend Nivea products as they are slowly starting to become my new favourite brand! Okay, maybe they can't completely over take my beloved Soap & Glory, but Nivea is definitely not far behind!

Thank you for reading! Much love,

Film Reviews

On one very lonely Valentines Day, I found myself scrolling through the Romance section on Netflix. In doing so I came across 2 films that I'd never heard of before. One being 'Like Crazy' and the other being 'Remember Sunday'.

I decided to watch 'Like Crazy' first for whatever reason, and I have to say that I was a little bit confused at the start of this film (but that's probably just down to me being my dopey self). However shortly after I just about gathered what was going on.

There were a few moments in the film which to me, came across a little awkward and left me sat there like 'this is gunna be a bit weird.' But I was actually pleasantly surprised towards the end of it. I found it quite relateable from a personal experience of mine, and I'm sure many of you will too if you've ever experience long-distance relationships.
It was also a lovely surprise seeing the beautiful Jennifer Lawrence in this as well which I had no idea about, (you can tell I appreciate the casting list on the front cover).

To view the trailer of this film (click here)

Brief description by Netflix:
An American man and a British woman fall madly in love while attending college in Los Angeles. But when she returns to London, their trust is tested, forcing them to confront the idea that their love may be impermanent.

I rate this film: ****

Now onto the next, 'Remember Sunday'.
I found the story line quite predictable and similar to others that I have previously seen. Although I did enjoy it, I just didn't like it as much as I did 'Like Crazy'.
Overall this is an interesting and in parts, emotional film that I would definitely recommend, in fact I recommend both of which I have reviewed today.

Brief description by Netflix:
Lonely waitress Molly meets a handsome and quirky man. Once she gets to know him better though, she feels that he is hiding something from her.

I rate this film: ***
